We continually seek ways to reduce our customers’ expenses while maintaining the same excellent quality of components. We achieved this objective by transitioning previously fabricated components into single castings, enhancing efficiency and cutting costs.
As a leading provider of industrial castings and forgings on a global scale, we encounter situations where customers lack legacy parts drawings or require a redesign necessitating the documentation of the original product design.
For instance, we recently collaborated with a client unable to furnish drawings, CAD models, or material details for components no longer accessible from the original manufacturer.
The Outcome
Using our vertical turning lathes, horizontal machining centers, and gantry lathes, we manufactured the castings with precision tolerances of ±0.002”, achieving a roughness average of 32. Subsequently, we welded them together on our burning tables, employing Go/No-Go gauging to inspect the 35” long and 40” wide tailgate upon completion. While we offer FMEA analysis, it was not necessary for this project.
In just 45 days, we fulfilled our client’s specifications by fabricating 11 tailgate assemblies for delivery to Houston, TX. This exemplifies the versatility and dedication we offer to your machining projects.
