Ross Beard, CNC Quality Assurance
Ross Beard is the CMM programmer and operator at CAB’s Texas facility, where he plays a pivotal role in ensuring precision and accuracy in our operations.
In addition to his professional endeavors, Ross hails from a long line of Texans, with a fascinating family tradition of “friendly fights” at their annual reunions, where competitiveness was encouraged, albeit without knives or guns. The prize for winning was the right to wear the belt for the year, and these gatherings continued until a memorable incident involving the loss of an eye by a cousin.
Outside of his work at CAB, Ross can be found at his family’s ranch several counties west. Here, they raise beef cattle and sell their meat online by the quarter cow. Their ongoing project involves renovating a barn built by his great-grandfather in the late 1800s, with the aim of transforming it into a venue for gatherings. The ranch also hosts an emerging apiary, with plans to venture into mead production once it’s well-established.
As for his recreational interests, Ross’s diverse hobbies include spending quality time with friends and family, engaging in grain alcohol production, boxing, shooting, hunting, gardening, sailing, flying, Scuba diving, and motorcycling. His well-rounded pursuits enrich both his personal life and his contributions to the CAB team.
